Concept

As members of SoSalsa we are dedicated to give you the best dancing weekend! So if you are interested in getting to know us a bit better, keep on reading.

Our concept

SoFestival: a latin festival for everyone!

We are experienced dancers and have been to different dancing events ourselves. From this experience we combine the elements that we like best and implement it into the SoFestival concept of 2025. For example, our workshops are not just about learning a new move: they are themed with a specific technique or theory that enriches your dancing.

On Friday we open our doors for everyone: whether you have never set foot on a dancefloor before or you are a seasoned dancer. We have designed 2 parallel tracks with different levels to accommodate both groups. After the workshops, we will host the social dancing: the perfect opportunity to try out your newly acquired moves, get a drink at the bar and meet new people.

On Saturday the day is designed for dancers from all dance styles: salsa, bachata and kizomba. The day is packed with workshops from national and international artists. After the dinner break, we invite everyone back onto the dancefloor to dance the night away at our big latin party with 2 rooms.

Our goal

• introduce non-dancers to our community: it is more than just dancing

Our mission is to foster a warm environment where everyone feels safe to express themselves. Therefore we respectfully support and encourage each other, regardless of our differences. This includes, but not limited to gender identity, sexual preference, dance level, physical ability and national origin. We believe that diversity strengthens our community and inspires others to be themselves.

Welcome atmosphere

We happily invite you to our dancing community at SoSalsa, where dancers and non-dancers are welcome to join the workshops, socials and parties. SoFestival is about bringing people together, who express interest into the latin culture and one another. We aim to radiate a positive and warm atmosphere, where people feel comfortable and relaxed. We would love to share this with you.

Personal Growth

Whether you have two left feet or you have a talent for dancing, you will be encouraged to try new things and develop your (dancing) skills. At the workshops and parties we create a safe learning environment for you to acquire new techniques, practice your moves and refine your style. At SoSalsa you can follow dance classes, workshops, bootcamps, show team training, etc. If you are ambitious, you can even become a teacher. Besides dancing, SoSalsa offers opportunities to develop creative, social and management skills by joining committees or the board.

Rules and Code of Conduct

Above all SoFestival wants the festival and parties to be a good experience for everyone. The following rules and conducts are to be followed. Any violation will be judged by SoSalsa and may result in removal from the festival without a refund. Apart from this summary, our own Terms and Conditions apply as well as the SoSalsa Society-By-laws and Rules of Conduct.
